Our many overnight retreats, reflections and events have been specifically designed to meet you where you are, tend to your spiritual needs and invite you into a deeper relationship with God. Located on 125 acres off South Warren Avenue, Malvern Retreat House is a nationally renowned destination that has been serving people from all walks of life since 1912. As the oldest and largest Catholic retreat in the country, MRH hosts more than 250 events each year that provide powerful opportunities for formation, renewal, and healing.

Other couples are already in a state of despair and hopelessness when they attend. The Retrouvaille Program is designed for couples who struggle with communicating effectively with each other causing pain and loneliness in their marriage. It is designed for couples in any stage of marriage breakdown – from daily frustration caused by poor communication habits to those considering separation or divorce. This retreat is open to all women seeking to renew their relationship with the Lord. Saturday, June 22 – Full day immersion into the Flame of Love! Young Adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to Malvern Retreat House for a weekend retreat. For 107 years, Malvern Retreat House has upheld the tradition of Catholic Lay Leadership, both in our office and on our Board of Directors. A one day retreat for Mothers and Grandmothers who are raising children with disabilities and also those who have adult children with disabilities. This retreat is put on in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office for Persons with Disabilities . Malvern Retreat House occupies a 125-acre expanse of peaceful, wooded grounds. From our founding retreat mansion, St. Joseph’s Hall, to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the newest of our many shrines, visiting groups are welcome to utilize every feature of our prayerful grounds. God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. We remember fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.

A member of the Immaculate Conception Group and a 27-year retreatant, Vince Murphy served as CA Captain from 2009 to 2013 and is now Recruiting Director. He was the recipient of Malvern’s 2008 Chairman’s Award and is a member of the Retreat Committee. Vince is the former School Director and Board President of the West Chester Area School District (2011 – 2013). An accomplished professional with expertise in all aspects of software engineering methods, architecture, technology assessment and systems development.

This is a traditional retreat for women and men with conferences, confession, adoration, prayer and Mass each day. Registered retreatants will be housed in Our Lady’s Hall, St. Joseph’s Hall or Corrigan Hall in single rooms with shared bathrooms on each floor (dormitory style). Rooted in the Catholic Faith, we provide retreats, programs, and events that help people deepen their relationship with God and find peace and healing.

Our solution is to use the Matt Talbot spiritual retreat weekend to find how to utilize the tools suggested in the Twelve Steps. Our retreats offer conferences, discussion group break-out sessions, discussion & speaker meetings, one-on-ones, and the Celebration of the Eucharist. The Matt Talbot Retreats are non-denominational, ecumenical, and are spiritual, rather than specifically religious. No matter what your spiritual needs may be, there is a place for you at Malvern Retreat House. Our 250 annual retreats, reflections, and special events are each designed to provide transformative experiences, solid formation and spiritual healing for all levels of your faith journey. While retreats and reflections are at the heart of what we do, Malvern Retreat House has much more to offer.

Corrigan Hall, named in honor of Malvern Retreat House’s first retreat master, Monsignor Joseph M. Corrigan, offers retreatants a peaceful space of reflection to return to each evening. This hall provides overnight guests with individual bedrooms furnished with a single bed, sink, mirror, desk, chair and clothes rack.
